Lions' Lair - Winner announced

Independent retailer Stephen Savage of Bill Savage Electrical in Frome, Somerset, has been chosen as the winner of the ERT Weekly Lions’ Lair competition – our Dragons’ Den-style search for the best new invention from a person employed in the electrical retailing and wholesaling industries.

Mr Savage impressed the Lions – our panel of judges – with his idea for an innovative portable cooling device.

His prize is a trip to the Autumn Hong Kong Electronics Fair in October of this year, courtesy of Lions' Lair sponsor, Home-tek.

Potentially, Mr Savage’s invention could be turned into a retail product.

He will be presented with his prize at this year’s CIH trade show at the NEC, Birmingham, next month.
