SAMSUNG’s ‘Air Refresh’ washing machine allows users to freshen up their ‘dry-clean only’ clothes in the comfort, and convenience, of their own home.

It can also be used for standard garments that just need refreshing – removing wrinkles and revitalising fabric in around 30 minutes.

Another benefit of this system is that it removes odours, such as sweat or smoke, much more quickly than hanging the clothes outdoors.

The Air Refresh process works in several stages: Air is drawn into the washer, heated, and then injected over the clothes to expel microbes and other odour-causing particles.

There is also a double ceramic coating on its heater, which is said to make it less susceptible to hard water scale build-up. According to the company, this significantly lengthens the life span of the appliance by up to about three times.
