| 05 June 2008 SHARP has described its latest home cinema system, the HT-DV50H, as providing crystal clear sound that complements the excellent video clarity of today’s HD TVs. The system boasts 75 watts power output per channel and in addition to the two main two ‘tall boy’ speakers, offers a 100W subwoofer. It also features ‘Audistry by Dolby’ technology, which is said to dramatically enhance sound quality at the push of a button. “This technology”, the company explained, “is based on a set of digital audio processing features designed to improve listening enjoyment, including ‘intelligent volume control’ to correct sudden volume changes in music and movies and a ‘natural bass enhancer’ for speaker systems. Further enhancing the audio quality is a five-mode, pre-programmed electronic equaliser which is claimed to be able to of adapt to nearly any genre of sound. Complete with an HDMI output, USB port, an FM stereo digital tuner and a remote control, the HT-DV50H should retail for around £399.
