Retra’s annual industry conference kicked off tonight with a drinks reception and welcome dinner.

Peter Mann, president of the retailers’ association, unveiled the theme of the conference as ‘A Time to Talk’.

Mr Mann said: "Communication is a very important part of our working lives, but let’s be fine and open and talk together.”

After dinner, delegates were treated to a performance by Freddie Mercury sound-a-like, Billy West.
